At The Wayland, we offer in-person tours of our apartment homes in St. Petersburg, FL. Virtual tour walk-throughs are available under Floorplan Media. Prospective residents are also welcome to stop by for walk-in tours, though we recommend scheduling an appointment for the most seamless leasing experience.
What lease terms are available?
The Wayland offers flexible lease terms starting at 7 months for our apartment homes in St. Petersburg, FL, giving residents a variety of options to fit their lifestyle and moving timeline.
How do I apply?
At The Wayland, click the "Apply Now" button in the top right corner of our website to browse floor plans. Select your desired floor plan and enter your desired move in date. Select which apartment you would like and your desired lease length. Click continue and you will be prompted to enter your email and begin your application process.
What are the application and move-in fees?
At The Wayland, an application fee may apply for each individual applicant, and an administrative fee may apply per apartment home. All residents 18 or older must complete an application. What are the monthly fees in addition to rent?

What utilities do residents need to set up?
At The Wayland, most utilities are billed conveniently through your resident portal, but can vary by building. To ensure accurate information, please speak with one of our agents.
Is renters' insurance required?
At The Wayland, yes. Residents must maintain an active renters' insurance policy. If one is not provided, a liability-only policy will be added as a monthly charge — note this does not cover personal belongings. Submitting policy information before move-in also avoids an additional mitigated risk fee.
When is rent due and how can I pay?
At The Wayland, rent is due on the 1st of each month, including holidays and weekends, with a grace period through the 5th. Late charges apply beginning on the 5th. Payment options include the online resident portal (debit, credit, or bank account), money order, personal check, or cashier's check.
Do you accept Section 8 / Housing Choice Vouchers?
At The Wayland, at this time, we do not accept Section 8 or Housing Choice Vouchers.
What are the credit and income qualifications?
At The Wayland, the combined gross household income must be at least 2.5 times the monthly rent, with valid proof of income required. Credit history, score, and background screening are also evaluated. We encourage everyone to apply. Please contact our leasing team for more detailed information.
What happens if a roommate does not qualify?
At The Wayland, the roommate won't be approved to lease or live on-site, so their application cannot move forward. However, you can still proceed with your own application and potentially secure the apartment independently.
Can I break my lease if I receive a job transfer?
Yes, at The Wayland, a lease buyout option may be available for residents who need to end their lease early. A written notice is required, and lease termination fees may apply. Please contact our leasing team for current buyout terms and requirements.
Can I switch to a month-to-month lease after my first year?
At The Wayland, leases automatically convert to a month-to-month lease at the end of the initial lease term unless you choose to renew or provide a 60-day written notice to move out. A month-to-month fee may apply. For current renewal options and lease details, please contact our leasing team.
Is there a guest policy?
Guests visiting our apartment homes may stay for up to 7 consecutive days. For longer stays, the guest must complete an application and be added to the lease as a resident at The Wayland.
Do you offer furnished apartments?
The Wayland does not offer furnished apartments. However, please check availability with our furnished housing 3rd-party partner, Landing, through the "Furnished Homes" tab on our website.
Is subletting allowed?
No, subletting is not permitted at this community.

At The Wayland, amenities include a landscaped courtyard with gas fire pit and hammocks, a freshwater pool with lounge chairs and cabanas, a 24/7 fitness center with a yoga studio, a 24/7 concierge desk, a game room with pool table, tabletop shuffleboard, and lounge seating, a Bark Park, a 24-hour pet wash station, a coffee station, a kitchen lounge, a co-working space, three outdoor grills, a parking garage, EV charging stations, and a package room.
What are the pool hours?
At The Wayland, for resident safety, our pool is open daily from dawn to dusk.
Is the fitness center accessible 24/7?
Yes, residents have 24-hour access to the fitness center with key fob entry at The Wayland in St. Petersburg, FL.
Is there a dog park or pet washing station?
Yes, at The Wayland, the community features both a outdoor dog park and an indoor pet washing station for added convenience.
Are EV charging stations available?
Yes, we have several EV charging stations located on the ground floor of the parking garage.
Is the community smoke-free?
Yes, The Wayland maintains a strict no-smoking policy to promote a healthy environment for all residents.
Parking & Access
Is the community gated?
At The Wayland, the community itself is not gated, but the parking garage is gated. Residents receive a fob and directory code for access.
How does parking work?
At The Wayland, we have an on-site parking garage. All vehicles must be properly registered with the Leasing Office in order to receive a decal and access to the parking garage. The parking fee is $50 per month per vehicle. Please speak to an agent for information on available reserved parking.
Is guest parking available?
Yes, at The Wayland, first-come, first-served visitor parking is available in the designated area of the parking garage. Please speak with an agent for additional information.
Is motorcycle parking available?
Yes, at The Wayland, first-come, first-served parking is available for both cars and motorcycles. All vehicles must be registered with the Leasing Office to receive a parking decal and access to the parking garage.
Pets
Are pets allowed?
Yes, The Wayland offers pet-friendly apartment homes with up to two pets allowed per apartment. All pets must be registered through PetScreening.com.
What are the pet fees?

How do I submit a maintenance request?
